About the Role

Western Health Support Services are seeking experienced Ward Clerks to join our relieving bank that supports filling vacancies across Footscray, Sunshine & Williamstown hospitals.

The Ward Clerk is responsible for the clerical and receptionist duties of the ward or clinic. This role also involves the coordination of the telecommunications and administrative traffic throughout the area. The Ward Clerk position supports the Nursing & Medical staff on the ward with clerical aspects of patients, ward &/or clinic administration.

To be successful in this you will need:

Essential Criteria

  • Prior experience in a Ward Clerk/Medical Receptionist role
  • Highly developed computer and keyboard skills
  • High level knowledge of MS Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Proven frontline customer service skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Victorian Drivers License
  • Availability 32-40 hours a week

Desirable Criteria

  • Accredited clerical/receptionist training certificate
  • Citrix Patient & Client Management System - IPM
