Overall Job Objective

The role is required to work with internal business customers to understand, document and master Client data requirements.
There will be three key stages to the work:

• Client Data Assessment
• Mastering Client Data
• Client Data Governance - Operating Model Design

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis initiatives including:

• Data element analysis including identification, definition and documentation
• Identification of core Client data elements to be prioritised for mastering
• TOM design including technology, process, governance, people, measures, culture and ownership
• Facilitating workshops and small working group meetings
• Adherence to the agreed business framework and business analysis standards and artefacts for all business units in the Specialist Bank

Individual work-stream responsibility:

• Progress reporting and communication
• Risk and issue awareness
• Time tracking and management
• Stakeholder management

Core Skills and Attributes

Technical knowledge

• Awareness of use and governance of core data fields
• Data mapping experience
• Familiarity with data dictionary and key data elements
• Target Operating Model definition (preferred)
• Experience of SQL query and knowledge of SSIS in order to access data and understand feed requirements
• Understanding of Data Warehousing and Master Data Management
• Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (incl. Excel, Word and Visio)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrable facilitation techniques

Experience

• Significant experience as a Business Analyst or in Data Management roles in the Investment Banking industry
• BCBS239 implementation experience (preferred)
• Demonstrable evidence of adherence to BA standards and production of BA artefacts
• Working in a matrix management environment (with accountability to the individual project manager)
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Regulatory Knowledge as applicable to role (compulsory)
• Act with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating our customers fairly (compulsory)
• Abreast of changes in the business and best practices
