What we're looking for: The role is responsible for all accounting and payroll activities; including month end close, statutory reporting, tax returns, management of accounts payable process and payroll cycles for our UK and international entities. Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include: Participation in the month, quarter and year-end close including; -Preparation of journal entries -Preparation of account reconciliations and analysis -Assisting with the preparation of monthly reporting packs Analysis of quarterly review packages and fluctuations Contribution to monthly review meetings Ensuring all accounting processes including general ledger, journal entries, bank reconciliations and revenue recognition are in compliance with GAAP and IFRS. Assisting with external audits Assisting Senior Accounting Manager in developing and implementing best practices in Accounting Operations & Reporting Performing other duties as assigned Our Ideal Candidate: This position is ideal for a motivated self-starter, who loves to connect with people, exhibits outstanding judgment and professionalism, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Essential Criteria: Bachelor's degree in accounting Qualified through a recognized financial institution eg ACA, ACCA, CAI, CIMA Minimum of four years accounting experience, newly qualified will be considered. Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. Developing strong working relationships with cross functional partners at various levels will be critical to this position's success Ability to work independently under time constraints while recognizing when to ask for assistance Critical thinker who can foresee potential obstacles and consider alternative approaches Ability to be flexible and able to work as part of a team Detail oriented and strong analytical skills Desirable Criteria US GAAP Demonstrable experience of managing/doing month-end and closing the books in an international environment.
