Now its your turn to take the next step and help make the world Run Simple. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES This position is located within the Corporate Financial Reporting department of SAP. This department is directly assigned to the CFO of SAP and is responsible for the completeness and correctness of SAPs IFRS accounting and for SAPs external financial reporting under German and U.S. law. Corporate Financial Reporting is structured in the following sub teams Local Accounting & Reporting, Corporate Revenue Recognition, Corporate General Accounting and Corporate External Reporting. The position is assigned to the Corporate Revenue Recognition team. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS The job includes Deal support Providing transactional revenue recognition related guidance to regional and local revenue recognition specialists and line of business colleagues. Interacting with software and cloud sales teams and work on deal structuring. Overview of the methodology of preparing analyses of SAP product and service pricing to demonstrate compliance with SSP (Stand-alone Selling Price) in accordance with IFRS. Researching, documenting, training, and providing guidance on revenue recognition and other accounting issues related to new software, cloud subscription and services business/pricing models. Working in cross functional teams to structure new business models and contemplated transactions in the light of the expected revenue accounting. Communicate and ensure enforcement of revenue accounting requirements in new business models and contemplated transactions. Completing and maintaining SAP's new revenue recognition guideline (IFRS 15), adding revenue accounting for new business models; reviewing new technical accounting and reporting requirements, identifying their impact on the SAP group, and assisting to implement such rules. Ability and experience with working in a matrix organization. Engage in proactive and positive interaction with external auditors and internal groups (e.g. Sales, Legal, Development, Pricing, and Finance). EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Thorough understanding of IFRS, in particular of the new revenue recognition standard IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers Strong organization and communication skills; assertive; ability to balance multiple projects in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment Ability to concisely communicate and work in a team that supports multiple subsidiaries and geographic regions across the globe Strong interest in keeping up to date technically on aspects of accounting University degree preferably accounting and/or auditing Experience in software revenue recognition is preferred e.g. experience in UDD Structures; Phase Deal Structures; Flexibility/Remix Clauses; Future Discounts and Migration Credit Structures and a solid understanding of SSP testing procedures Very good English language skills; German is a plus WORK EXPERIENCE 2-5 years of prior experience in accounting or auditing.
