Major teams within CBS include Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Enterprise Support Services, Brand Marketing and Communications, Business Development, Knowledge and Risk Management. Job Summary As Financial Management Associates (FMA) Supervising Associate, you'll be the main contact for financial reporting and analysis with respect to clients, providing advice and support. Partnering with senior executives, you'll provide financial analysis, suggesting various pricing strategies, and providing budget-versus-actual analysis. You'll also help with billing strategy for assigned clients. You'll help EY's executives interpret and comply with firm finance policies. In addition, you'll support client serving executives (CSEs) comply with quality policies. As a further responsibility, you'll achieve timely and effective cash flow practices for external client relationships. In this role, you'll support the firm's more complex accounts, often working exclusively with designated industry or functional groups, or serving as the lead Finance contact in a given location. You'll spread leading practices to clients and co-workers alike, by providing innovative accounting approaches, which improve efficiency, quantitative and qualitative results. You may also help the FMA Manager to hire and train new hires. You'll delegate more administrative tasks to an off-site financial assistant, and may supervise a limited number of individuals on day-to-day tasks. You may also be asked to participate in projects or initiatives for the business unit, sometimes as leader. Key Responsibilities Perform the daily inventory accounting functions required by the organization Prioritize tasks to help achieve executive and firm objectives Help client service executives resolve potential problems or last-minute issues Assist or lead training sessions for other FMAs and CSEs Develop leading practices for process improvements, for both the Finance group and the client-serving staff Delegate financial administrative tasks to a virtual Financial Assistant (FA) team. Follow up on work/tasks as needed Identify and communicate FMA/FA issues to the FMA Manager or Director Area Finance as appropriate Maintain a relatively complex book of business, such as Office of the Chairman, global priority and/or Area priority accounts Escalate inventory issues to the partner/engagement manager and FMA Manager Serve as a subject matter specialist in the firm's Global Financial Information System (GFIS) engagement software, practices and policies Supervise the quality and quantity of work flow with the FA group Coach and mentor other members of the Finance organization May formally review and counsel less senior FMAs To qualify, candidates must have English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication Excellent analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills Strong teaming abilities, including virtual teaming Effective multi-tasking and prioritization skills Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word programs, as well as the ability to learn new applications quickly Good delegation and time management skills Competent at taking a consultative approach in business transactions, and influencing executive decision-making Strong mentoring skills Solid accounting knowledge Confident in maintaining multiple executive-level relationships A minimum of 5-7 years relevant professional experience, with additional financial management experience beneficial Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration; Master's degree a plus Ernst & Young LLP, an equal employment opportunity employer (Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/Disabled), values the diversity of our workforce and the knowledge of our people.
