Financial Management/PM ITO/Global Banking & Markets IT0000A8EZ Description Business / Function Global Banking & Markets, Information Technology Role Cost Manager (4L) CHTS Ref Daily Rate Location Business Bay, Pune Reports To Line Function Head of Cost and Commercial Management Functional Direction To Overview Highlights of department The team provides Financial Advice and Support, reporting & governance to GBM IT. Providing analysis to the head of group and senior management team on Performance against target, progress on cost challenges, rolling forecasts, cost drivers and What if scenarios & planning Purpose of the job Acting as Financial Business Partner for a number of Asset Classes within GBM IT, supporting the Business Managers for specific areas with contribution to COO level reporting. Focus will be on Direct Cost and Customer Charge reporting in addition to leading the process improvements and workforce changes. Contributes to overall Cost Management transformation through improving financial forecasting and modelling capability across GBM IT. Responsible For (Please describe the role that the Candidate will be undertaking within the team) Costing of Headcount Management of direct cost base & customer charges Challenge of IT Infrastructure Co-ordination of client allocations Construction of monthly rolling cost forecast Build financial plans Monthly variance analysis, commentary & trend analysis What if scenarios & urgent financial modelling Support & Added value to Asset Class Head Major Challenges Facing off senior IT & Business management & explaining costs in an efficient & clear manner Consolidation of multiple regional data Responding to time critical financial queries effectively Prioritisation of requests & analysis Job Specification Part 2 ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE (in order of importance) Including technical knowledge, company/industry experience, IT knowledge (levels required), languages etc. Experience of working in a finance team And/or experience of working in a Product Control team Experience of a project based environment Reporting and explaining financials to senior stakeholders ESSENTIAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Including commercial orientation, customer drive, business development, analytical reasoning, management planning, decisiveness, leadership, teamwork, building and managing relationships, communication, drive and resilience, change orientation, technical knowledge etc Resilient with strong influencing skills. Able to hold their own in a conflict situation with senior Mgt Accounting qualification i.e. ACMA would be an advantage but not essential if candidate has equivalent role experience Willing to get stuck in and manage competing and changing priorities IDEAL EXPERIENCE (Please list any experience/skills that would be considered as desirable although not essential for this role) This role will suit someone keen, enthusiastic and eager to make their mark in a diverse, dynamic team undergoing significant transformation.
