STAFF OFFICER ACCOUNTANT (SO) REF: IRC225827 SALARY: £32,317 - £34,446 (under review) DEPARTMENT: Armagh Observatory and Planetarium LOCATION: College Hill, Armagh, Northern Ireland, BT61 9DB The Armagh Observatory and Planetarium is currently recruiting for a Staff Officer Accountant. The post holder will support the Head of Finance and Income Generation in providing sound financial practice within AOP in line with Managing Public Money Northern Ireland and other financial protocols. The post holder will manage financial processes and maintain financial records in relation to revenue and capital spend and processing of invoices and payments. In addition the post holder will manage all financial aspects of external grant applications for submission to the UK Research Councils and other grant awarding organisations and administer appropriate systems and controls and financial reporting arrangements in respect of same. Further appointments may be made from this competition should AOP positions become vacant which have similar duties and responsibilities.
