Description
1)Business Partner
- Provide Management Information and business analysis that allows for timely decision making.
- Support commercial team in reporting actual customer margins and comparing to expected contract margins
2) Planning and Reporting
- Production of accurate monthly reporting pack for presentation, including performance reporting to forecast and update of full year forecasts.
- Manage the monthly reporting on performance against Forecast, identifying key drivers and flagging any underlying opportunities/risks
- Streamline existing processes wherever possible with a focus on the quality of the forecast output to enable business discussions
- Challenge forecast assumptions and identify key sensitivities, risks and opportunities to the wider business
- Carry out the annual budgeting process with focus on setting volume and margin targets
- Prepare the annual Capex budgeting process and closely monitor monthly reporting of actuals vs. budget
- Interacting with finance and other areas of business to get in depth analysis behind P&L drivers
- Support departmental need for ad-hoc reporting and presentations, including business reviews and management presentations. Key contact for analysis requests from the wider business
3) Business Controls
- Provide challenge and control to Opex spend ensuring that funds are spent in line with budget and do not overrun
- Support internal and external audits when required and follow-up of audit actions
Profile
- Excellent experience in providing analysis and insights to business managers in fast paced environment, ideally in an FP&A role
- Experience with analysis, rolling forecasts, capex reporting, budgeting and management reporting
- The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, preferably from experience in supporting a Downstream business as well as analytical insight and commercial skills.
- Resilience, drive and proactive attitude, must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with a wide network of stakeholders (both in country and virtual as well as across organisational boundaries).
- Knowledge of Management Information is critical. Use of Navision, Hyperion and Smartview would be an advantage.
- Advanced user of Excel and knowledge of financial modelling.
- Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills (both written and oral)
- Professional, "get it done" attitude and work ethic
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
