Payroll Lead

Payroll Lead Belfast (BT1) Salary £Neg DOE McKinty Associates are delighted to be working with a very successful and respected NI Chartered Accountancy Practice to recruit an experienced Payroll professional to join their team. This is an opportunity for someone with ambition seeking to take ownership and lead the Payroll service delivery. Role overview: Managing a portfolio of monthly and weekly payrolls ranging from 2 to 70 employees, using SAGE payroll software Managing auto enrolment - including pension report uploading, employee and pension provider document issuance and deduction calculation. Obtaining salary information from clients and inputting changes (e.g. starters, leavers, tax codes) Providing clients with reports and payslips and advising on PAYE payments Reporting to HMRC under the Real Time Information system (RTI) Financial administration tasks as required Essential eligibility criteria: Previous payroll experience essential (min. 4/5 years), preferably using SAGE Experience with auto enrolment essential Experience of HMRC RTI requirements Experience working in a professional services environment Ability to work well within a team and as an individual Ability to manage a portfolio of payroll clients Strong IT skills Good organisational skills Excellent time management skills Professional, flexible and proactive attitude Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills This is an opportunity to join a leading accountancy practice in a service area with considerable potential for growth.
