I am currently exclusively recruiting for a Financial Controller role in East Kent.
Client Details
My client are a growing SME manufacturing business who are recruiting this role following a recent re-structure.
Description
Preparation of monthly management accounts journals, bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Production of draft management accounts, KPIs and management accounts pack, including making a contribution to the finance part of the pack commentary.
Preparation of reports for budget holders.
Maintenance of cash books, fixed asset module, reconciliation of all subsidiary modules to the nominal ledger, and closing of the nominal ledger at month and year end.
Assist auditors with year-end queries.
Manage company cash flow.
Present final payroll reports to the Finance & Operations Director for approval.
- Prepare and submit the quarterly VAT return in advance of the relevant deadline.
Manage the budgeting process with key internal stakeholders.
Profile
To be suitable for the post your profile will be similar to the following:
- Fully qualified accountant, ideally with at least 3 years post qualification experience
- Experience of year end, budgets and extensive management accounts experience, with ability to demonstrate significant improvements identified and made.
- Solid bookkeeping experience essential.
- Solid understanding of VAT regulations, and at least 3 years experience of submitting VAT returns.
- Payroll experience preferred.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Sage 1000 experience ideal.
