Page Personnel are working hand in hand with a well known and reputable FMCG business in Wirral to recruit a Credit and Purchase Ledger Manager role. In a challenging and fast paced sector, this business has established a strong brand and a great reputation.
Description
As Credit & Purchase Ledger Manager, reporting to the FD, your role will be to work closely with the FD and take responsibility for the accounts receivable and payable functions, as well as cash flow management and treasury. Key duties include:
- Review and monitoring the creditworthiness of the accounts receivable ledger to maximise collections and minimise bad debt
- Manage the team with regards to invoicing, collections, query management and purchase ledger to ensure that all clerical tasks are carried out in a timely and accurate fashion
- Collections, debt management and liaison with the large, international and high risk customers to maximise collections
- Managing and control of sales pricing, invoicing in system with close coordination with sales team
- Management and review of credit insurance policy; tasks include the monitoring of credit limits, liaison with broker and the annual management of renewal process
- Co-ordinate with relevant people within the finance team to ensure that all payments are raised and authorised as necessary
- Assisting the FD to minimise risk
- Control of the payment related tasks within the purchase ledger process to ensure suppliers are paid when required
- Creating reports as requested and ensure they are compiled in a timely manner
Profile
The successful candidate will require the following:
- A strong people person with good man management skills and experience
- A strong transactional finance background
- Works and thrives in a fast paced environment and works well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and able to build relationships across the business at all levels
- High IT literacy - ERP knowledge is desirable as well as strong Excel skills
Job Offer
The successful applicant will receive:
- Salary up to £39,000
- Employer pension contribution - 9%
