Tax Manager The job in a nutshell As Tax Manager, you'll be an indispensable member of the Finance team, managing Corporate tax, VAT and RCT compliance and advisory across the business. You will also manage tax projects, liaise with group tax and assist the business with tax queries to aid the business as we grow. Your extensive tax background, attention to detail and enthusiasm for teamwork will be essential to the success of the finance group. You will report directly to the Head of Tax and Treasury. What it involves Own the corporate tax compliance process supported by the Tax Analyst liaising with finance team, group tax and third party advisors. Lead the VAT compliance cycle, supported by the Tax Analyst liaising with group VAT and advise business on VAT matters to aid decision making. Manage the RCT compliance process, supported by the Tax Analyst. Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate accounting of tax in quarterly group reporting and statutory reports. Review month-end tax and treasury journals. Manage tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities. Manage submissions to the tax authorities. Co-ordinate and manage tax projects along with the Head of Tax. Assist the Head of Tax with group tax matters, including CbCR. Provide advice on all tax implications relating to potential transactions to aid decision making e.g. withholding tax, VAT, RCT, permanent establishment risk, TP requirements and guidance and support on various matters such as funding, capitalisations. Prepare transfer pricing reviews and support Head of Tax ensuring all documents adhere to legislative requirements. Research international tax issues and keep up to date on legislation changes. ABOUT YOU Chartered Tax Advisor & Qualified Accountant (min. 3 years PQE) Big 4 CT and/or VAT trained professional is essential. Industry experience desired. Excellent tax technical skills and detailed knowledge of Irish system across all tax heads. Tax accounting experience required. A self-starter with ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines. Requires strong organisational, leadership and project management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. Practical thinking is essential. Experience with an ERP system, preferably Oracle.
