Group Tax Planning Manager
Leading PLC group have an opportunity for a permanent role in their Group Tax team in Dublin. This role provides the successful candidate with a great opportunity to gain significant and varied experience within a dynamic and professional tax function. The role will include the ability to provide input into M&A activity, strategic group tax planning and transfer pricing related projects; however, there will be scope (subject to workflows) for involvement in other varied tax consultancy & compliance workstreams. The role - Group Tax Planning Manager Assisting with restructuring and M&A projects. Assisting the tax team and the wider business with various projects (e.g., IP, R&D/patent box incentives, centralised procurement etc.) and ad-hoc advisory matters. Monitoring and ongoing maintenance of Group business models. Assisting with global transfer pricing work (transfer pricing modelling, CbCr, transfer pricing documentation and transfer pricing audits). Working closely with the Group's Americas' tax teams on day-to-day tax matters with a view to managing the Group's effective tax rate. Liaising with corporate colleagues to assist in the preparation of corporate documentation to support transactional activity. Technical research, including preparing and maintaining tax analyses and technical papers to support tax filing positions. Supporting and overseeing tax audits conducted by various tax authorities. Monitoring and providing analysis of legislative and regulatory developments e.g., ATAD and US Tax Reform. Evaluating the potential impact of tax legislation on the company and recommending the proper course of action. Liaising with internal and external auditors and other service providers. The person Recognised tax and accounting qualifications. 3+ years post-qualification experience in a Big-4 firm and/or large multinational company with strong “hands-on” experience of tax planning. International tax and cross-border project management experience would be beneficial. Strong problem solving, organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise responsibilities and complete work accurately and in a timely manner. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to professionally represent the Group Tax department. Self-motivated with good project management skills. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other business software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, etc.) The role will be based in Dublin; however, some international travel will be required.
