We have an excellent opportunity for an individual to manage the financial and administration function for the leisure services team, which will contribute to the service achieving its ambition of Wiltshire being the most physically active county in England.
About the role
You will manage the admin and finance team, ensuring that income collected through leisure monthly direct debits and invoicing is accurately recorded and distributed, in line with financial regulations. You will prepare regular financial reports, reconciliations and statistical performance data, analysing trends and identifying issues that require attention.
In addition, you will oversee the bookings systems used to manage activities, finance and attendances and will provide technical expertise to train and support the leisure centre receptionists and customer services managers in the use of the systems.
Working under pressure and with changing demands you must be able to multi task and work to agreed deadlines. You must have previous experience in interpreting and accurately analysing numerical and statistical data, identifying issues and resolving problems.
With excellent communication and people skills you will need to build relationships and motivate and support staff and communicate sensitively and diplomatically with customers.
Ideally, you will hold a relevant financial/accounting qualification, with proven experience of managing financial records, invoicing systems and direct debit payments, together with an appropriate level 4 management and ICT level 2 qualifications. A knowledge of SAP and bookings/on–line payment systems would be an advantage.
