Salary: To GBP100K plus car, pension and PMI

The position of Group Finance Director is central to writing the next chapter in our success story.

As Group Finance Director, you will ensure that our commercial decision–making is robust, informed and supported by well–argued business cases, whilst safeguarding our financial position and integrity. Leading a finance team based in Ringwood, you will oversee all aspects of statutory and management accounting whilst championing a culture of best value and best practice. At all times, you will remain abreast of developments within the independent education sector, actively build partnerships to deliver tangible benefits, and translate financial propositions into persuasive briefings for diverse audiences, so you will require exceptional commercial aptitude and highly developed interpersonal skills.

As a formally qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA/ CIPFA), you should bring expert knowledge of budgeting, cash flow reporting and management, and all aspects of accounting as you will need operate at Board level and engage banks, funding bodies and other finance professionals. Needless to say, you will be extremely computer literate, particularly in Excel, and well versed in personal, corporate and trust taxation, and you will ideally possess some knowledge of partnership, company, charity and trust law. You will also travel to our London schools on a regular basis.
