TITLE: Accounting Administrator - Accounts Department. Grade: Grade IV Clerical Officer Job Ref: SVHF/G4-0030/01/18 - Permanent - 1.0 WTE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To provide key administrative support to the Hospital Accountant and to the Finance Department of the hospital in delivering its objectives. He/she will be involved in the full range of accounts preparation up to Trial Balance. A working knowledge of the Agresso Accounting System will be advantageous. PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Receipts all cash coming into the hospital and lodges same to the hospital's bank. Matches all purchase invoices with Goods Delivery Notes and processes same to Creditors' Ledger. Any other duties appropriate to the post as may be allocated from time to time. Reconciles Creditors' Ledger with suppliers' statements at the end of each month and makes payments to these creditors. Reconciles the bank account at the end of each month. REQUIREMENTS: A proven track record of working in a busy finance department to weekly and monthly deadlines, including the following: Accounts preparation up to Trial Balance Management Accounts 3+ years of relevant experience FETAC Level 5 or equivalent qualifications. Demonstrate practical experience of Agresso, preferably, or a comparable accounting system.
