Quality Systems and Audit Manager

Purpose
The Quality Systems and Audit Manager shall be responsible for ensuring that audit non–conformance arising is dealt with in accordance with the business systems and industry requirements. The Quality Systems and Audit Manager shall ensure that the levels of non–conformity are maintained at acceptable levels.

Responsibilities:
• To support any quality program within the quality community.
• To implement and manage a process audits program in order to confirm the client complies with industry and global Quality standards.
• The audits management will include: scheduling, auditing, reporting and findings resolution.
• To identify training needs for employees in order to confirm employees are working according to relevant procedures.
• To identify and propose technology improvements, supporting the CAPEX process, as required.
• To continuously promote the use of the toolbox (portal) and lean manufacturing fundamentals.
• To own the process allowing for continuous improvement of audit performance.
• To liaise and facilitate any relation between internal/external supplier/customer matching the job remit.
• To assist in the development of the succession plan.
• Carrying out such other duties as may reasonably be required within the jobholder's capability consistent with the Terms and Conditions of employment.
• To manage all the responsibilities mentioned here above according to the quality and business manual.
• To deputise for the Quality Director, as required.

Skills, attributes and experience required: –
• Manufacturing and Quality background and knowledge of control methods preferred,
• Existing knowledge of and experience in the aerospace or industrial quality field.
• Proven quality management experience and track record of achieving targets.
• Successful track record with strong career progression within a forward–thinking organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
• Proven ability to inspire cultural change
• Experience of continuous improvement including lean manufacturing.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Highly effective communicator with the presence and confidence to influence at Board level.
• Willingness to travel according to business opportunities.
• Highly effective data analysis capabilities with the ability to make sense of very complex data sets and to develop action plans and implement improvements based upon that analysis.
• Ambition and ability to progress career to senior levels as opportunity arises.

Quality Systems and Audit Manager

Qualifications: –
• Degree educated or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, such as Mechanical or Manufacturing engineering.
• Lead auditor status
• Membership of relevant industrial body
