Client Details
Medium sized service business based in Grantham
Description
You will contribute to the development of business intelligence reporting for senior management functions, drawing together data from corporate systems.
To manage the specification and testing of changes required to reporting systems or data warehouse, in order to satisfy the evolving requirements of statutory returns or management information processes.
To co-ordinate the strategic analysis remit of the planning function, regularly reviewing the scope and quality of the information, developing improved intelligence and reporting, and identifying new sources of data that could be used to answer strategic business questions
Using appropriate data consolidation and visualisation tools to enhance presented information and ensure clear communication to the intended audience, or to develop simple models and prototypes
Lead the development of the business intelligence service; developing metrics that help to monitor the delivery of the strategy
To specify, generate and maintain routine statistical reports for colleagues, providing more detailed analysis and insights where appropriate
To prepare reports, papers and commentaries for management teams and committees; providing professional advice on data sets, as required.
Support quality assurance processes and internal and external audit activities, maintaining comprehensive audit trails of any work conducted
To identify, manage and provide appropriate training and development activity, including guidance documents and familiarisation workshops
Ensure adequate processes are in place to support the collection, validation and submission of regulatory reports
Profile
Experienced MI Professional with strong reporting and analytical ability and VBA skills, you will be available at short notice and able to commit to a 6 month assignment
