The Accounts Assistant Apprentice will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
Purchase invoice processing
Supplier communications
Preparation of monthly payment run and expenses
Issuing monthly statements to customers
Archiving accounts information in a timely manner
Sales Invoicing
Nominal ledger reconciliations
Credit control
Involvement in preparation of month end accounts
Managing petty cash transactions
Managing other cash held on site
Posting cafe sales to sage
General filing duties
Utility contract renewals
Ad hoc project work
Ad hoc tasks as required to meet the needs of the business
On the Apprenticeship exposure will be given to month end journals, preparation of management accounts, vat returns and the annual audit to ensure the role can assist the studies undertaken.
Training will be given on the use of Sage 50 Accounts, Operate (a billing system), Excel and the ACCA Level 4 Accounting Technician Apprenticeship.
Working hours are 9am - 5pm, with 1 hour for lunch.
