Our New Business Services team is looking for a Director - Portfolio Administration & New Business Services to join them in Singapore. This role works with senior internal clients' enterprise wide to successfully manage, drive and direct the onboarding of Institutional clients and retail strategic initiatives. This position takes full ownership of stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables and milestones. This role also provides ongoing servicing of the institutional clients and internal stakeholders such as portfolio managers, performance, sales and client servicing.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?
New product and on-boarding support
- Oversee and direct all regional institutional on-boarding activities and manage pipeline
- Ensure the successful set up and launch of Funds and Institutional Accounts
- Identify new product issues, challenges and mobilize key decision makers to identify solutions
- Drive, monitor and escalate to ensure deliverables are met and to minimize duration
- Educate capability constraints, challenges related to new regulations, external business partners or complex instruments
- Work with clients and partners to continually review and improve our existing new product and service capabilities. Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues
- Lead the development and evaluation of service delivery, including pricing of standard and custom services
- Determine resources and costs required to support new products and customized client requirements and co-ordinate approval
- Keep up to date with industry and competitor developments, service, systems, and support trends
- Provide regular status reports of all new products, issues, industry trends, clients and other departments
- Represent Operations at client meetings and client due diligence reviews
- Instill a strong client service focus, ensuring team deliver quality servicing with an efficient and effective support model
- Drive, monitor and escalate to ensure deliverables are met, problem solve to rectify any barriers
- Work with clients and partners to continually review and improve our existing service capabilities
- Keep up to date with industry and accounting developments
- Oversee and direct all regional institutional events/activities and ensure activities are carried out in accordance with corporate and regulatory policies while maintaining robust controls with regards to client confidentiality
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key clients and operational business partners
- Develop strong relationships and partnerships with Regional MD, Country Managers and Sales heads
- Meet with key clients on a regular basis to obtain feedback, identify ways to improve service and obtain trend and forecast information on new business
- Work with partners to identify common challenges and issues and develop shared solutions
- Develop and set plans, goals, and objectives aligned with the company's goals and initiatives
- Preparation of material strategic business planning sessions
- Manage establishment of performance standards and effective measurement tools
- Use metrics, complexity factors and sales forecasts to determine future plans and initiatives
- Represent business units at meetings and ensure that actions or decisions are properly taken into account
- Use trends, activity levels and forecasts to determine staffing requirements
- Lead, motivate and develop employees
Qualifications
What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
- University or college degree
- MBA or a professional qualification in business administration, accounting, finance, or marketing preferred
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with comprehensive understanding of front, middle and back-office functions and processes
- Experience in client service, marketing, project management or product development/implementation
- Solid knowledge of investment management and financial services industry experience
- Experience with automated portfolio accounting systems, including a general ledger
- Familiarity of GAAP and mutual fund industry regulations
- Excellent communicator with a curious mind and the ability to influence
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills including relationship building, negotiation and persuasion skills
- Results driven deliver a positive client experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and diverse expectations across the region
- Proven ability to problem solve, take initiative and work under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of another language is a plus
- Occasional travel required
