Description

The main roles and responsibilities:

  • Monitor and review supply chain financial performance against budgets and agreed action plans for all designated areas, ensuring prompt and appropriate actions are implemented to correct any issues
  • Support Senior Management and HoF Business Support in continuously identifying performance improvement initiatives and the development, implementation and monitoring of strategic plans
  • Support the development of annual Budgets for assigned areas and cross examine operational decision making
  • Completion of monthly operations review pack for review by Head of Operational Finance and UK Head of National Logistics
  • Help resolve reporting issues and where necessary provide guidance on corrective operational actions
  • Interpret, communicate and present financial data and operational plans
  • Proactively tackle ad hoc company-wide projects / tasks which are allocated from time-to-time
  • Support the appraisal of capital expenditure projects, giving independent objective advice; monitor their implementation against defined objectives Communicate effectively with all other departments that have connections with supply chain in order to articulate operational finance imperatives e.g. hubs managed outside of supply chain.
  • Continuously strive to improve financial controls and processes in cooperation with other functions

Profile

The right candidate needs to:

  • Be a Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to produce and present financial / statistical data
  • Ideally have experience of working within a supply chain function

Job Offer

Up to £50,000 + car + benefits
