You will ensure effective accounting and reporting systems, procedures and internal controls are established where required and maintained to deliver accurate financial reporting and effective internal controls across the finance function of the Group.

You will also help manage and expand the diverse international client base and have the opportunity to develop new business lines which may include equity participation.

Candidate Profile

You will be an entrepreneurial finance all-rounder seeking a phenomenal challenge.

You will be a highly ambitious, entrepreneurial accountant with at least 3-4 years PQE including managing client relationships. You may also be an excellent candidate from accountancy practices looking for a move into industry.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Overseeing the finance function of the Group and the day to day transactional accounting
  • Enhancing the financial reporting and bookkeeping processes including an assessment of systems used
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all timelines in relation to internal and external financial reporting, tax compliance and adhoc financial reports
  • Overseeing the global reporting of Group companies
  • Overall responsibility for managing tax compliance and risks
  • Preparing cash forecasts, budgets, financial and statutory reports
  • Management of regulatory and compliance issues
  • Ensuring appropriate financial policies and procedures are maintained across the Group
  • Evaluate and drive selection of strategic ideas in a fast changing environment to ensure growth of customer base and revenue
  • Working closely with and supporting the CEO / COO to develop a function that is more closely integrated with the wider business
  • Managing the statutory audit process (where relevant)
  • Managing the legal, corporate governance and company secretarial processes
  • Retain constant awareness of the Group's financial position and acting to prevent problems
  • Retaining an involvement in client transactions and client relationships
  • Supporting the CEO / COO on a range of adhoc projects
  • Fulfil additional adhoc duties as requested in order to meet the needs of the business

Qualifications and skills

Specific candidate requirements are:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA)
  • Minimum 3-4 years PQE
  • Solid client relationship experience
  • Great leadership and organisational skills to deal with the clients and colleagues of various levels within the role
  • International experience / exposure
  • Knowledge of UK tax
  • Knowledge of international tax highly desirable
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and management experience
  • An analytical mind with excellent problem solving and mathematical ability
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Willingness to be challenged and step out your comfort zone
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information
