Finance Analyst (US & European Markets)

This is an exciting internationally focused new role.  Our client Carrs Foods is a £50m t/over fast moving entrepreneurial business without the bureaucracy and formalities of the bigger corporate. An international branded bakery business, our brand portfolio includes St Pierre, Baker Street and Paul Hollywood Ready to Bake Breads. With 24 employees we are customer focused with a strong reputation for innovation. All production and logistics are outsourced. With an impressive business plan for further growth via new products and markets, this is a brand new role and a really exciting time to join the team. 

Reporting to the Finance Director you will join the Finance team of 5 people responsible for all customer orders, transactional processing, compliance and management accounting. 200+ different products are shipped from 20+ bakeries across Europe to warehouses in the UK & US for onward distribution to 100+ European and 500+ US customers. Our Supply Chain team of 4 people is responsible for the purchasing, transportation and storage of all goods via 3rd party suppliers. We also have an International team of 2 people.  US exports have grown from <£2m in 2015 to £18m in 2017. As a result of our phenomenal growth we were ranked No.7 in the Sunday Times International 200 league table. 

The new Finance Analyst will sit between these teams to provide expert commercial and operational support needed to maximise our ongoing growth and profitability. This is a multi dimensional, cross functional role requiring stakeholder engagement supplier facing, customer facing and internally. Key responsibilities will be to:
• Develop Pricing, Costing and Forecast Models to support US export growth through close co-ordination with our US distributor 
• Develop Costing and Business Intelligence systems to support European profitability 
• Credit note analysis - maximise customer service and minimise lost revenue

CIMA or ACCA qualified (or PQ) you will have worked in international multi-currency markets, with stakeholders across different time zones plus the following skills and experience:
• Expert-level analytical and financial modelling skills
• Proficient in spreadsheets, databases and financial software packages
• Strong presentation, reporting and communication skills
• Strategic thinking
• Significant experience developing and working with costing and pricing models
• A good track record in financial forecasting

The international scope of this role means there will on occasion be a need for a flexible approach to hours and some international travel may be required. Carrs Foods offers flexible working - start times (0800-1000 hrs daily). It’s a great place to work.
