THE ROLE

Origin is continuing to invest in gas exploration and production, as well as developing and operating a world-class CSG production business, through Australia Pacific LNG. A leading producer of CSG in Queensland, with growing reserves and new gas exploration interests around Australia, we are seeking the right candidate to become part of the team that's meeting growing demand for energy, and searching for tomorrow's energy solutions.
Accountable for all activities in the asset including; well, facility, gathering and reservoir management; non production facilities, reserve and resource assessment; establishing and meeting budget and production targets; production optimization; maximizing value of the asset for the life of the asset.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Collaborate to achieve end to end asset performance ensuring positive health, safety, security and environmental outcomes and maximum value creation.
• Establish operation and development plan to efficiently maximize resource recovery.
• Generate annual business plan to create annual budget and production forecasts/targets.
• Ensure near field exploration and appraisal is adequate to unlock future resources and meet long term production targets.
• Own and prioritise asset opportunities to appropriately allocate capital.
• Manage and maintain all necessary relationships to ensure business success (joint venture partners, Leadership Team, service providers, contractors, communities and landowners, indigenous groups, etc.)
• Ensure the health and safety for all employees, contractors and service providers.
• Directly oversee the multi-discipline management team including a subsurface manager, production manager, operations and maintenance manager, and land access manager.
• Develop a work environment that creates high performance ways of working (including agile), and develops ownership, pride and accountability at all levels of the company.
• Identify and develop capabilities with the organisation for continual growth.

• A proven track record of leading multi-discipline teams and establishing a culture of high performance, collaboration in an Upstream Oil and Gas sector.
• Formal tertiary qualification in engineering/geoscience
• Experience tackling big challenges through innovation, diversity and agile thinking
• An understanding of all aspects of the oil and gas value chain from exploration, and appraisal through to development and operations
• Proven experience in change management and introducing new ways of working
• Experience presenting and communicating at senior management level
• Demonstrated leadership courage
• Highly developed communication and people skills
• The ability to demonstrate highly developed communication and people skills, initiative and problem solving ability.
