Management Accountant (Part-qualified)

The role supports the management of overhead budget and supports all divisions with budget management, control, forecasting and planning with the vision to ensure overhead spend is managed within budget and company policy.

Description

The Management Accountant (Part-qualified) role involves;

Overhead cost management

• Act as the main contact for the overhead budget management

• Continuously identify and implement business process improvements and cost savings

• Review employee travel expenses and ensure costs are in line with company policy

Budget and planning

• Owner of annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process for overhead costs

• Review and monitor all costs relating to overheads.

• Liaise with the business to ensure these costs are managed within budget.

Reporting

• Preparation of monthly budget status report for Department Heads/cost centre budget controllers

• Preparation of monthly overhead cost analysis report

• Prepare as hoc analysis where necessary to highlight and analyse key drivers and assumptions behind the forecast

• Prepare headcount analysis for monthly business report pack

• Promote effective and efficient reporting systems and processes

Workflow management

• Manages workflow settings in SAP to ensure that costs are approved by people in line with GPPM (Group Process and Policy Manual)

Ad-Hoc duties

• Support ad hoc project work

• Provide support to Senior Finance Director and Budget team leader wherever necessary

Profile

The ideal candidate for the Management Accountant (Part-qualified) role will;

• have worked in a similar role previosly
• have strong budgeting, forecasting, and Analysis skills
• be part qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA / CFA
• ideally have experience using SAP (NOT essential)
• have strong Excel skills
