Forming part of a small local finance function, the Management Accountant will report direct to the Finance Director and have 1 reportee. Core management accounts with 1 reportee. Stock reconciliation, statutory accounts and audit.

Description
Managing an Assistant Accountant
Daily monitoring of sales and margins by division
Preparation of monthly management accounts in line with group deadlines
Completion of group reporting requirements using Hyperion
Reporting of monthly sales by division and product group with budget and last year comparisons
Preparation of monthly financial report for executive team
Control and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts - Fixed Assets, Prepayments and accruals, Debtor and Creditor ledgers, VAT and payroll control, Bank reconciliations (review).
Stock reconciliations - reconciliation of monthly stock movements and post journal entries into accounts.
Payroll - check monthly payroll for two companies and ensure all statutory reporting and payments are completed. Good knowledge of all statutory requirements essential.
Pensions - checking and processing automatic enrolment pension scheme.
Statutory accounts and audit - preparation of year end accounts pack and statutory accounts for review by auditors.
Corporation Tax - Preparation of information required by Tax consultants to complete annual tax return. Ensure payments made in accordance with deadlines.

National Statistics returns (Monthly & Quarterly)
Profile
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or QBE, with at least 2 years experience in a similar field. AS400 and/or Hyperion exposure beneficial.
Job Offer
Circa £45,000 per annum + good benefits package and holidays
