WE Buchan, one of the world's largest independent integrated communications agencies, is looking for driven professionals to join our highly successful office in Sydney. With an office in the heart of the CBD, we are keen to bolster our ranks with an Account Executive to join us and work on a great mix of B2B and B2C Technology clients.
Our Sydney office is one of 18 across the globe, and it's expanding rapidly. We work across time zones and continents. Our clients are innovative and so is our work - and importantly, our employees come first. We are currently looking for a first-class PR/Comms operator to become an integral part of our award-winning team, working on some our largest and most established technology brands; providing insightful client counsel, a deep understanding of the technology sector and passion for business writing. You are required to have a can-do attitude, a willingness to learn, contribute and have a voice in our super-collaborative team. We also require you to have some agency experience to date, with an inquisitive mind and willingness to come out of your comfort zone and embrace our collaborative culture.
This a great opportunity for an ambitious AE to help us drive full integration across our client portfolio, allowing you to work with an experienced Account Director to learn, grow and fulfil your potential. You will also have a solid understanding of how best to optimise both traditional and digital communication in order to deliver excellent integrated strategies.
Key strengths within this role should include content creation, event planning and organization, Australian media relations, a passion for technology, international coordination and the ability to think multi-channel/multi-platform at all times. You will join a very talented and committed team, working on a great mix of instantly recognisable technology brand(s), and significant attention will be given to your career growth and development.

Main Accountabilities:
- Integrated (traditional and digital) strategy and campaign development experience
- Development of regular 'smaller campaign' plans as well as overall client strategy
- Solid media and influencer relations skills - via traditional, social and digital channels
- Story generation - helping to brainstorm ideas to generate coverage for clients
- Meeting billability targets established for your position
- Ability to work with the digital and content teams - adding value wherever possible
Previous proven experience:
- Typically at least 1-2 years' experience in communications, preferably in an agency setting or within applicable industry
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong content creation skills - blog, press releases etc.
Agency Business
- Meet WE Buchan guidelines on best business practices including utilisation, daily timesheets, accurate billing, timely expense reports, etc.
- Manage and understand how to utilize internal client service teams (editing, production, library, etc.) to ensure quality, comprehensive service to clients
