Qualifications
- Directly responsible to manage the teams and their day to day operational activities in one or more of the following areas
- Credit facility limits loading and updating static data based on Credit approval conditions
- Non-cash/ marketable securities collateral loading into the system, eg property values, insurance cash surrender values and SBLCs
- Input/update of credit conditions for purpose of monitoring/follow up
- Custody & Safekeeping of credit files
- Liaising with external parties such as property valuers and insurance brokers for credit related activities
- Review of Clients' Credit Documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Handhold and support Relationship Managers as required to complete complex credit Documentation
- Reporting performed by the Team to the different departments as well as regulatory reporting
- Identify and lead process and system changes to enhance productivity of the team and improve the accuracy of processing
- Actively contribute to other relevant projects in the Bank
- Actively participate and contribute to the overall operations efficiency projects and other initiatives where applicable
- Support the Head of Credit Services to oversee and Manage Team (s) which perform other functions in the Credit Services Team
- Work in close collaboration with other teams within and outside of Credit Services, Operations and the Bank in general as required
- Ensure Team development through regular feedback and coaching
Qualifications
- Graduate degree minimum, Masters preferred, banking/finance degree desirable but not essential
- Additional qualifications in relevant areas like Process improvement methodologies, Technical skills, Credit Risk or Credit Documentation will be an advantage
- Candidate should have around 15 years' experience in credit administration / servicing / Credit Control / credit documentation and reporting in a Private or Corporate / Institutional Banking environment.
- Past experience and exposure to Private Banking is desirable and will be a significant advantage.
- Must have deep knowledge of Credit Documentation and Credit Admin Functions including collateral monitoring, Margin Call Management and related reporting and escalations through hands on experience.
- Exposure or experience in Credit related regulatory reporting will be a plus.
- Must have managed small to medium sized teams (10-25 staff) engaged in delivering Credit Documentation & Credit Administration services
- Prior project experience in business projects and projects to deliver automation and efficiency of above areas would be an added advantage
- Strong Process management and structured thinking skills
- Strong communicator with ability to communicate appropriately at different levels of the organization
- Possess a Service oriented mindset and ability to lead and influence team to develop the same
- Strong aptitude for technology and passion to leverage technology & systems to improve efficiency, accuracy and solve problems
- Good working knowledge of office tools
- Numerical skills would be an advantage.
- Team player with a result oriented mind-set and a can do attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect and build relationships with peers, managers and staff within and across departments
- Exposure and familiarity with common tools used like Bloomberg, Reuters etc
