My client are based just East of Peterborough and have been retained by ourselves during this exciting period of growth for the finance and wider business. This role will have full FP&A Business Partnering responsibility with the need for a proactive, personable and confident character to communicate effectively up to board level.

This FMCG global company have a culture where operations and all departments are very receptive to finance and process improvements are encouraged and received very well. For a global group this FP&A Business Partner is based at one of their many international sites that the business is looking for someone to develop and therefore an individual able to see the bigger picture and very keen to rapidly progress their own career would be ideal.

Description

FP&A Business Partner position is requiring someone to produce and analyse key performance indicators at site, regional and functional level.

You will be responsible for producing the monthly Board Pack for meetings with the Operational and management teams, with further breakdowns on a site level basis, with the requirement to interact daily with staff at all levels to ensure improved cost management and profitability. You will be involved in the design and implementation of further periodical reporting and be expected to provide insightful information for consideration by the Commercial Financial Director.

The role also supports the Commercial Finance Projects manager on new business cases, product offerings and ad-hoc projects where required.

• Fulfil a 2 day month end accounts production process with assistance of an accounting team
• Produce a full month end pack with 2 days after month end of detailed financial analysis including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Be key member of the finance teams implementation of TM1 Cognos
• Pull raw data out of the system and manipulate where necessary with the ability to spot trends
• Look to complete continuous improvements across the finance and wider functions of this Peterborough site.

Profile

FP&A Business Partner Desired Skills and Experience

• Proficient financial professional - part-qualified/finalist or equivalent experience
• Track record of strong academics and/or a history of career progression
• Analytical, accurate, numbers driven, and process orientated person
• Experience of FMCG and / or product environment preferred but transferable skills are key
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience of building forecasts, budgets and process management
• Forward thinker who can balance future planning with operational requirements
• Good communicator with the ability to interact a diverse group of stakeholders and satisfy the information needs
• Proven decision making with the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity
• International capability - ability to work with multiple stakeholders across a range of local markets
• Commercial acumen
• High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications
