    Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements revenue recognition policies and procedures in conformance with current FASB and SEC guidance.
  • Manages activities related to revenue recognition, including assurance of accurate and timely results in cooperation with the global revenue accounting function.
  • Reviews, analyzes and interprets revenue and margin reports.
  • Provides advice and assistance to the business with questions related to the accounting for customer contracts.
  • Interfaces with Operations Finance, Compliance, Internal Audit and the external auditors on technical accounting matters.
  • Field questions from all levels of management on complying with technical accounting standards.
  • Indirectly manage and provide revenue recognition guidance and training to global accounting, finance and business operations professionals.

    Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum education: Bachelor of Science in Accounting
  • Certification: Certified Public Accountant
  • Experience: 5–7 years with Big 4 firm
  • Strong technical accounting experience and practical experience with US GAAP and accounting research.
  • Detail oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinker who can foresee potential obstacles and consider alternative approaches.

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters in Accounting or MBA
  • Experience with publicly traded companies and /or tech industry revenue recognition.
  • Understanding and application of ASC 606
