FINANCE ASSISTANT - WEST MIDLANDS - FULL TIME

Accountancy Elite have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a company, that are leaders within their sector within the West Midlands region. The company have been established for almost 30 years with a team of over 60 staff members, priding themselves on offering customers exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience, be able to work as part of a team, and should be proactive.

THE ROLE

Purchase Ledger

·Weekly & Monthly payment runs in both GBP & Euro
·Input of purchase invoices
·Maintaining cash books
·Purchase month end procedures including - VAT returns, dealing with suppliers

Sales Ledger

·Transferring invoices from a separate system into Sage 200
·Overseas Credit Control
·Setting up new customer accounts
·Liaising with Company Directors

Nominal Ledger

·Assisting with prepayments, accruals & adjustment journals
·Petty cash, credit card & cash book journals
·Management accounts, balance sheets & year end audits


Payroll

·Monthly payroll for approx 60 members of staff


SALARY - (Dependent on Experience)

EXPERIENCE

·Knowledge of Sage Accountancy software
·Competent with Microsoft Excel
·GCSE Maths A-C Minimum
·Good verbal & written communication skills
·Ability to work individually or as part of a team
·Self motivated
