St Vincent's Private Melbourne is a facility of St Vincent's Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries. We are a not for profit Catholic private hospital which operates across four sites at Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Kew and Werribee (opening in 2018).

We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join us based at our Fitzroy campus. This full time position would be suitable to new graduates recently gaining qualifications in Accounting or Financial Services.

Your role will involve assisting with:

• Answer patient complaints and queries regarding accounts.
• Ensure that Patient Accounts are collected and receipted in a timely manner.
• Receipting cheques and Remittances.
• Liaising with Health Funds/TAC/WorkCover/Medicare, etc.
• Actioning weekly/monthly debtor's reports.
• Processing of Patient Accounts and Billing Adjustments.
• Strict adherence to the guidelines of the Debt Collection policy.
• Adherence to the guidelines of security and confidentiality of documentation

Selection Criteria includes;

• Diploma or Degree Qualified in Accounting or Financial Services
• The ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Must have good oral and written communication skills
