Michael Page are currently working alongside a forward thinking accountancy practice in Poole who are looking for a Tax Assistant to join their team.

Description
This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious and forward-thinking company. Your role as Tax Assistant will include:
- Assisting in the completion of Self Assessment Tax Returns
- Assisting Tax Seniors with PAYE and personal tax compliance matters
- Advising clients of their calculated rebate or tax liability for the corresponding year
- Advising clients on basic personal taxation matters
- Dealing with face to face, telephone and email queries from clients
- Dealing with HMRC by telephone and correspondence
- Liaising with all teams to ensure a high standard of client service
- Reviewing tax codes and other HMRC notices
- Any other ad hoc duties as and when required
Profile
Essential:
- Strong numeracy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to maintain high levels of accuracy whilst meeting strict deadlines
- Self motivated with a positive 'can do' attitude
- A willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge
- Maths and English GCSE grade C or above
Desirable:
- Experience of working to meet deadlines
- Experience of working as part of a team
- You will be proficient in Microsoft Office
