Job Summary The Materials Management Analyst is responsible for the maintenance of inventory controls, policies and standards to achieve (a) accurate financial inventory information, (b) optimal inventory and obtain “just -in-time” delivery where beneficial.  Ensure proper costing, recording and reporting of all Inventory items.  You are also responsible for tracking inventory trends, discovering ways to save money, and maintaining consistency in material quality. Required Skills •             Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices •             Sound knowledge of inventory and purchasing systems •             Detailed, oriented with exceptional organizational skills •             Ability to organize, coordinate and conduct quarterly and year-end physical stock counts and investigating the difference between physical and book quantity balances. •             Ability to understand procedures and instructions relevant to the area of assignment •             Ability to analyse data, formulate solutions and resolve issues in a timely manner •             Able to summarize analytical data and generate reports. •             Excellent written and verbal communication skills •             Good planning and coordinating skills •             Good human relations and interpersonal skills Job Qualification & Experience •             BA / BSc.  / ACCA level 3 in Accounting Operations or Operations Management •             5 years' experience in inventory analysis preferably in a power plant environment or related work experience.
