Responsibilities
An efficient operator and reporting to the Financial Controller, you will not be afraid of getting into the detail and with a collaborative mindset, you will add value to the finance team where possible.
Your responsibilities may include:
Maintain and continuously improve the finance function, including drafting policies and procedures;
Provide assistance where required to the Financial Controller and CFO across ad hoc reporting and analysis;
Oversight of the maintenance of accurate ledger to ensure that all overheads are reported to relevant Business Units and balance sheet accounts reconciled;
Manage financial audit and oversight of the preparation of financial statements;
Provision of technical accounting knowledge with the aim to match commercial substance with the technical accounting outcome;
Preparing rolling forecasts for P&L cashflow and balance sheet;
Ensure direct reports are meeting tasks and deadlines; and,
Any other ad hoc requirements as may be required from time to time to ensure that the finance team is able to deliver quality outcomes in a timely manner. Requirements
To succeed in this role, the successful candidates will possess the following as a minimum:
CA/CPA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified;
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar business within construction, property or infrastructure;
Demonstrated experience in finance with proven stewardship around technical accounting;
Commercial acumen and ability to translate the numbers into a commercial outcome;
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); and,
