About The Role
An existing role with ANZ Corporate/Institutional Risk, you will work closely with key stakeholders in Credit, Legal and product partners and will be tasked with the identification and mitigation of technical risks associated with delivery of Real Estate Development projects for new and existing clients Your key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
  • Review and decision making around policies and procedures with respect to tendering, reporting, execution and review of projects (including organisational structure and alignment of responsibilities between tendering and execution)
  • Technical review and assessment of contract terms and documents with respect to adequacy of cost and time allowances, including benchmark assessment with respect to execution of similar projects, contingent plans for cost and time overruns,
  • Assessment of company and individuals experience to execute contracted projects, including assessment on key suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Review and opine on dispute resolution process, including timeframe available for resolution
  • Attending site visits with company representatives and external consultants (as required) to opine on progress against forecasts cost and time and opine on consistency with monthly documentation
  • Collaborating with the deal team to identify required technical reviews of projects, draft scope of work required to be undertaken, short list consultants, review proposals, amendment to scope of work, engagement and review of reports
  • Strong understanding of the development process
  • Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills required and a proven record of providing objective professional advice to stake holders
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
  • Extensive experience in tendering and delivery of complex real estate projects across multiple disciplines and sectors
  • Understanding of ‘best practice' with respect to successful development delivery, construction and tendering strategies which lead to successful execution, including reporting regimes which detail cost and time to complete
  • Experience in quantity surveying work within Real Estate Development and Construction projects including
  • Proven track record in undertaking Risk Management
  • Consultancy experience across multiple disciplines (highly regarded)
  • Tertiary qualifications in technical competency (Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil engineering or similar qualification)
  • Exceptional skills in planning, analysis and lateral thinking
  • Superior stakeholder management skills and ability to effectively influence and negotiate at multiple levels both internally and externally
