Our Service Line Within EY's Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice, our Corporate Finance team plays a key role in providing a full range of services to our clients which includes financial institutions, corporations and regulators on a number of projects.  These projects include due diligences, valuations, mergers, acquisitions and divestments, capital raising, strategic advisory, real estate advisory, restructuring and receivership/insolvency appointment taking. Summary of the Role: Manager As Manager, you will be responsible for the provision of services both in Jamaica and in support of our teams in other Caribbean jurisdictions.  In consultation with our clients and partners, you will be responsible for defining the engagement scope and executing it in compliance with our policies and protocols. You will actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships and make sure that delivered client work is of a high quality. As part of this, you will anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues, as appropriate. As an influential member of the team, you will help to create a positive learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.  A primary role will be project management of Restructuring and Insolvency sub-service line engagements; however, you will also be expected to participate in the engagements of other TAS sub-service lines, including mergers, acquisitions, capital raise, valuations and business modelling and corporate strategy. Qualifications & Technical Skills Requirements An accounting designation e.g. ACCA, CMA, CPA etc. CIRA, CFA, CBV or a professional insolvency designation or equivalent would be an asset but not mandatory Approximately 6 years of related work experience Experience within a recognized restructuring team undertaking receivership appointments, managing the financial affairs of companies in distress and divesting of troubled assets Appreciation of the risks inherent in advising distressed businesses and their stakeholders Experience in presenting findings clearly in reports and other deliverables to clients The ability to project manage engagements, identify issues and propose strategies and workable solutions Displaying a high level of commercial acumen, and an awareness of the key drivers of corporate performance. Proficiency in detailed financial and commercial analysis and the ability to identify potential areas of sensitivity This position requires willingness and ability to travel. Successful candidates must be committed to staying abreast of industry knowledge and have the ability to quickly anticipate and respond to the issues of a constantly changing business environment.
