Financial Accountant

JOB SUMMARY To direct, control and report on the Authority's financial accounting operations so as to facilitate the achievement of its short, medium and long term financial objectives and compliance with institutional, regulatory governmental and industry requirements. KEY FUNCTIONS Plans, develops and implements the financial accounting systems required for the Authority's operations. Directs and controls the Authority's financial statements in compliance with established procedures. Reviews accounting statement to ensure the integrity of information presented, analyzes the result and prepare required reports. Directs the operations of the financial accounting unit to ensure that scheduled work targets are achieved. Coordinates the preparation, review and presentation of financial statements and reports. Ensures corporate compliance with institutional and regulatory stipulations or guidelines. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE Professional Accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA. At least five (5) years experience in a similar or related job function, two of which should have been at middle or senior management level. Good analytical, communication and supervisory skills Knowledgeable in Accounting Software.
