Accounts Senior
We are recruiting for an Accounts Senior in the Banbury area with our well established client. We have one role in the Agriculture and property department and the other in the Business and Tax services department.
As an Accounts Senior you will need to have:
- Ability to prepare client's accounts, tax or VAT
- Strong IT skills
- In depth account prep knowledge
- Knowledge of CCH, Xero, Sage line 50, Farmplan and Compac
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Degree in related field would be an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years accounts experience within a practice environment
- Willing to work outside of normal hours when required
- Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero (Desirable)
Details:
- Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 per annum (Depending on experience)
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday
- Location: Banbury
- Duration: Permanent
Role of an Accounts Senior:
- Prepare client's accounts, tax or VAT based work from information supplied by the client
- Raise potential areas for additional services including added value services and advice
- Finalise paperwork for dispatch to clients and HMRC
- Liaise with clients to collect information for their accounts
- Monitor own job quality and quantity
- Record own chargeable time and ensure maximum recovery
- Give on the job training for trainees
- Prepare client tax returns based on information supplied by client, advise on tax payable and payment dates
- Assisting clients with accounts software and other bookkeeping queries
- Involvement in client seminars and networking and business generation
- For the agriculture department role you will need to generate and refer leads
- For the BATS role you will need to deliver quality service to the clients of the BATS department
