Economic Development Assistant

Economic development assistant position with a public sector organisation. £13.45 per hour

Your new company
This public sector organisation with an excellent reputation as a local employer of choice now require an Economic Development Assistant to support increased work load. This is a temporary position for 3 months with a strong possibility of extension.

Your new role
You will be responsible for assisting and developing Economic development in order to aid commercial, industrial and economic development across the borough. You will identify sources of funding and resources for the business sector and advise and assist local business to access their needs and identify development opportunities through audits, research and analysis. You will manage the budgets in identified projects using EU procedures and submission of claims as required by funders. You will assist with a variety of other related duties and responsibilities.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have relevant experience in a similar position and have experience preparing bids, securing and managing funding and monitoring and evaluating projects. A third level qualification in a relevant discipline such as Economics, Business studies, Accounting or Equivalent. You will have excellent communication skills, analysing and decision making skills. You must also hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car.
