Tax Free Senior Vice President Corporate Financial Control & Reporting Location:  Saudi Arabia Salary:  €300-350k + 35% bens Role Purpose: Leads, directs and oversees the effective financial and management accounting across the company and ensures that regional financial operations and systems are in line with corporate guidelines, policies and standards for consistency in accounting activities. Also ensures that the policies and procedures are strictly in accordance of International Financial Reporting Standards. (IFRS) and our client's consolidated and subsidiary companies statutory and external reporting along with management reporting are prepared in accordance with company approved policies and procedures for submission to the company executive management and Board of Directors on time. Job Overview: The jobholder is accountable for important functions mainly - Control and Reporting, Statutory and external reporting, Finance Systems, Policies and Procedures, BUs Finance, Subsidiary Companies and Finance Transactional activities. The effective integration of our client's regional financial operations and systems with the corporate systems and guidelines is an important objective for the Company. The other challenges are to ensure setting and implementation of high standards of accounting and financial analysis, comparable with best international practices. It is also essential that the jobholder and the team build strong working relations with Finance Business Unit managers across the company and work with them to ensure the requisite guidelines, corporate and strategic direction are communicated effectively. The job holder is also accountable for developing and monitoring financial standards, procedures and guidelines and producing reports for efficient decision making. The key interfaces and coordination will be with all BUs and Financial Planning for sharing and analysing with them all the reports and Finance Transactional activities to ensure the all accounting / financial policies, procedures and guidelines are strictly adhered to. Key Accountabilities: Contributes in defining the strategic direction for the business unit by providing inputs from own function and work with all other peer managers to ensure that all functions are aligned with and support our client's overall strategy. Directs preparation of the annual Operating and Business Plans and capital expenditure budget for the function, ensuring that adequate funding provision is made available for all activities related with his functions. Monitors expenditure against approved levels on a regular basis and investigates and justifies significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control. Reviews the organization structure and operational processes of function, study and recommend changes to optimize the workings of its function as appropriate to optimize efficiencies and effectiveness. Guides and controls the preparation of financial statement of our client's Consolidated and its Subsidiary Companies ensuring that requisite accounting standards and guidelines are complied with. Directs and guides the preparation of financial and performance analyses of our client's Consolidated, all Business Units and Subsidiary Companies. Directs and supervises the preparation of periodic company-wide financial reports and ensure these are accurate and timely. Leads and oversees delta analysis between actual and budget data in order to identify main differences and deviations, and discusses performance with all Business Units. Challenges Business Unit performance to understand the main deviations and shares them with Financial Planning to evaluate if a budget review is needed. Oversees the preparation of our client and its subsidiary companies accounting policies, procedures and manuals and ensures that these are strictly in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards directives, company guidelines and electric utility industry best practices. Directs and guides the preparation of our client's overall P&L forecasts quarterly until year-end about the expected results of operations so that proper and adequate required actions are exercised well in time to improve the situation. Directs and oversees the preparation and issuance of cash outflow forecasts for our client's overall quarterly until year-end and submits to Corporate Finance & Treasury to ensure the availability of cash. Contributes to define and integrate financial systems in order to be aligned with the accounting standards, policies, and procedures. Directs and oversees the preparation of standards, procedures and guidelines to ensure that the intercompany transactions and reconciliations are aligned with the accounting procedures and international accounting standards Ensures that statutory and external reporting's are consistent, standardised, accurate, timely and aligned with the internal and external requirements. Leads and drives internal control activities in order to ensure that our client and its subsidiary companies operates in line with the defined accounting and financial standards, procedures and guidelines. Provides the direction and overall plan for effective integration of regional financial operations and systems with the central corporate systems. Oversees the compliance assurance checks program to ensure that the company accounting / financial policies, procedures and guidelines are strictly adhered to across the financial related organizations.
