About South & East Cork Area Development Partnership CLG (SECAD)
SECAD Partnership CLG (SECAD) is a Local Development Company (LDC) that was established in 1995. Since that time, SECAD has evolved from an organisation managing a single programme into a platform for multiple funds and services. These include a range of social investment and employment support programmes implemented on behalf the Irish Government and EU. SECAD also manages a number of national and cross-border projects.
SECAD has vast experience in administering Irish Government and EU funds as well as transnational co-operation projects through the European LEADER / Rural Development Programme, Social Inclusion Programmes (including the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme), Rural Social Scheme and Tus (Employment Schemes) and Gender Equality Programme. SECAD also delivers supports directly on behalf of government departments e.g. the Department of Social Protection. Since 2014, SECAD has been contracted by a number of renewable energy companies as a grant making organisation (GMO) for Community Benefit Funds (CBF).
